I am looking for good homes for a few things and would like to keep them in the Tape Op family. While I could always use a couple more dollars for gear, I am open to esoteric, imaginative and modest trade offers too. Pics are available by request.

1966 Oktava ML-17 cardioid ribbon microphone. It is complete and in working condition. The mic has lost a bit of paint and is not a cream puff cosmetically. Sounds nice on my Farfisa, though it is a little bit on the low output side of things. On Ebay with free shipping.

1989 Uher 4000 Report Monitor reel to reel tape recorder in excellent condition. The machine is set up perfectly for 5" reels of Quantegy 407 and records in half track mono. I am the second owner. In 20 years, the unit has seen less than 100 hours of use in climate controlled environments. It functions perfectly in all modes and sounds good. It comes with an assortment of accessories including a DIN to XLR microphone adapter, cables, two metal Uher take up reels, carry handle and power supply jumper. I cannot find the PSU at the moment, but they are available. It runs just fine on a rechargeable power pack or standard batteries. Sold!

Four new old stock pancakes of Quantegy 456 1/4" 2500' in their original shipping carton from the red heart of Alabama. I can probably scare up some flanges too if you need 'em. Sold!

Pioneer SR-101 tube spring reverb. In very good condition, fairly quiet and I will probably regret selling it. This bugger started out in stereo and went mono after a few years. While only one channel gives you reverb, the other can be used as a "cooker" for a bit of smooth subtle harmonic distortion. I really liked the two options and left it alone. I am sure it could be fixed for two channel reverb use. This was in the first wave of imports and has the quirky "crucifix" knobs seen on early Japanese hi-fi gear. On Ebay with free shipping.

The Recording & Reproduction of Sound by Oliver Read. This is the second edition published in 1952 and is in good condition. An excerpt is available on-line. This book is a real treasure trove of information. It is also chock full of photographs and schematics to pore over. $35 includes shipping to CONUS.

The Technique of the Sound Studio by Alec Nisbett. This is the first edition published in 1965 and is in good condition. Much of the book is focused on the methods employed by BBC engineers. A valuable insight into the British way of doing things in the 1960s. $35 includes shipping to CONUS.

Seven 7" reels of unused Scotch 111 1/4" in sealed boxes. This is the original granddaddy of stable tape stock. It gets along swell with old tube machines. $35 shipped in CONUS.

One 5" reel of Quantegy 406 1/4" in a sealed box. At the very least, it will look cute as a button on your shelf. Offer?

One each of unopened Quantegy R-94 and Sony PDP-65C DAT stock. Do you need these? Can you pay postage?

Yamaha EP-1 expression pedal in the original box. Barely used at all. Has an RCA jack. Offer?

I'd prefer to ship to North America, but small things might be okay for overseas delivery. Paypal is fine. Please PM or email with any questions. If the economy is kicking your butt right now, do not be afraid to offer a partial trade or a lowball. Thanks!

(Edit - Lowered prices and added auction links)

Friday Bump!

If you see something you cannot live without, the prices are negotiable. Smile
