Advertise With SFCV

San Francisco Classical Voice is the Bay Area's most complete source of classical music coverage. SFCV offers reviews and previews of the Bay Area's wide range of classical music performances; insightful features from leading writers; news about the music scene; and the most complete calendar of events.

We are published every Tuesday, by noon most weeks, via our Web site (www.sfcv.org) and companion email newsletter. We reach over 14,000 unique visitors on average per month on our Web site and 2,200 subscribers each week via our free e-mail newsletters. Roughly 90 percent of readers live in the Bay Area, with the rest spread across the U.S. and the world.

Advertising Rates

We feature a variety of standard ad sizes to meet your needs, and now you can choose the exact dates for an ad to run. Run a targeted ad that meets the needs of your marketing campaign or performance schedule, regardless of our weekly publishing schedule. Below are prices for one banner ad, per week (and per day for shorter runs), to appear on both the Web site and our companion e-mail newsletter:

10 percent discount for 4 insertions or more in any three-month period.

To be automatically included in our popular e-mail newsletter, your ad run must include a Tuesday.

Note: To accommodate the high demand for our popular top banner slot, we now rotate ads there. So if there are two advertisers in that position that day, their ads alternate (Ad 1, Ad 2, Ad 1, Ad 2), as users land on SFCV's homepage. Other ad positions, such as the popular vertical banner, are currently not rotated.

Advertising Specifications

Ad dimensions are below (width and height in IMUs or pixels). Visit our online sample homepage to view the various ad sizes and positions available:

GIF or JPEG format under 100K in size is preferred. A simple rotating animation is acceptable, but subtlety is the goal. Please indicate the URL to link with the banner ad. Any promotion or additional information not contained in the text of the banner ad should be hosted and maintained on your Web site. Ads run subject to SFCV approval.

Submitting an Ad

To submit your ad, e-mail the file as an attachment to editor@sfcv.org. Please indicate the URL to link with the banner ad. Include the issue you would like it to run (we publish a new issue on Tuesdays, except over the holidays), how many times you would like the ad to run, a specific range of dates if desired, and your name, organization name, and full billing address. The deadline for submitting an ad is three business days before it runs.

Payments

We will bill you for the ad once it has run. Payments can be made by check made out to San Francisco Classical Voice and sent to:

Other Information

In order to ensure our readers' trust in our independent coverage, SFCV maintains a strict separation between editorial and advertising. There is absolutely no connection between the ads we run and the reviews or other coverage we publish in SFCV. Any ad that appears in SFCV is not an endorsement of a particular group, and in no way influences who we cover or how we cover the Bay Area classical music scene.
